Medieval Money tells you with its title what it will be about. It’s a story whose action is set in the Medieval Ages, revolving around treasures, but also around a king and a queen, as well as a dragon.
None of them look particularly realistic, but that’s a good thing in this case, since they went for cute stocky characters instead, and they’re a lot of fun to look at.
Caricature style graphics have been chosen for the better paying symbols, while the less interesting ones get metal made poker cards. The list of symbols begins with the MM logo, the jester’s hat, the archery target, the king, queen, princess and the knight.

IGT is a name that doesn’t need a big introduction. The developer is one of the biggest around these days, with both online and offline slot machines created by them.
They’re among the developers that release new slot machines on a regular basis, and often enough I do enjoy what they create. It’s not often that I can say that about the graphics in their games though, like it’s the case with Medieval Money.

How To Play It
The lines are fixed, 20 of them kept active by your wagers each round. The choice that you’re given concerns only the line bet, starting from $1 and going up. You spend a minimum of $20 per spin here, and you can also use a lot more if you can afford it.
I’ve enjoyed the graphics in Medieval Money more than I do in most slots offered by IGT. The characters are drawn very well, some of them looking like caricatures, others just cute, and they’re accompanied by symbols appropriate for the Medieval theme.
Special Features
IGT always does a good job with the features in their games, and they’re starting you off here with a simple wild symbol. You get it on just a couple of reels, the three from the middle. As usual, these symbols can be used in winning combinations, when they replace regular symbols that you don’t have in the required positions. The wild symbols still have to land in those positions, they can’t help you from just anywhere.
The second symbol to pay attention to is the Bonus Archery Target. These are also used only on the three middle columns, and you need them all present to get their feature. It’s called Archery Picker, and it will give you 9 targets to choose from. You pick one, and you get a bonus that can give you Money Bags, Joust Free Spins, Spell Picker or Dragon Path Bonus.
Money Bags has for you another picking feature, where you get up to 50x the bet. Joust Free Spins has 7 rounds for you, with expanding wilds, represented by knights which fight each other. Spell Picker is a bonus game, with payouts getting up to 100x the bet. As for Dragon Path, it will give you a wheel of fortune, with rewards of up to 200x.
Maximum Payouts
A jackpot of 1,000x is apparently possible, but even better, some of the features can deliver payouts of up to 100x or 200x the bet.
Summary
Medieval Money is not your typical IGT slot machine, it’s a better one, which gets both the design and the features right.
