Manic Millions promises petite cash prizes

manic-millions-slot-logoYou might believe that you can win millions of credits in this slot machine. Its title certainly suggests so. That isn’t actually as close to the truth as you might believe, though.

In actuality, Manic Millions only offers players a few thousand credits, but that should still be enough to make quite a difference to your mood, if not your bank balance.

This new slot is from NextGen Gaming, and it contains a mad scientist theme. There’s been a few of those before, but this one focuses less on Frankenstein’s Monster, and more on a “wired” old man, his dopey looking assistant Igor (again, from the Frankenstein tale), and believe it or not, very big brained mice.

Manic Millions may not be able to offer you millions of credits of jackpots, but this 5-reel, 25-line slot can at least offer you a non-progressive jackpot which is worth as much as 1,250 coins.

NextGen Gaming deserve a round of applause, because this video slot does at least contain 3D imagery and animations. We don’t often see graphics as good as these in a NextGen Gaming slot, and we have thoroughly enjoyed spinning its reels with them present. Is there anything else we have thoroughly enjoyed, though?

What we love

Aside from the graphics, one has to credit NextGen Gaming with creating a pretty enjoyable array of special features in this slot.

Players can not only prosper from wilds and scatters (which make up the second-best and best paying symbols in the slot, respectively) but also from 2 randomly triggered Igor bonuses, and a free spins bonus which contains vastly more wilds than the base game.

The Igor bonuses are pretty exciting. The two features can be triggered randomly, and can see Igor flick a switch which will add extra wilds and scatters to the reels. This can be really beneficial if you happen to be a few away from triggering a big win or a bonus round.

What we do not like

As good as Manic Millions is, there are elements of this slot which we are not entirely happy with. The gamble feature is one such. This feature might as well have been cut from the game altogether, with another feature taking its place. With this useless gambling feature, players “could potentially” double or quadruple their win.

The chance of them pulling off these wins is 50% or less, though. We can’t figure out why NextGen keeps inserting gamble features into the games when research shows that they are becoming increasingly unpopular with players.

Worth playing?

There’s not really any reason not to give Manic Millions a run for its money. The slot is cheap enough to play, has a broad wagering range, and can offer players decent wins.

It is a bit naughty that they advertise “millions” in their title, but that shouldn’t hinder you now that you know the truth. Manic Millions should be available to play before the month is out.
