Playtech Just Launched The Flintstones Slot Machine

Yabba Dabba Doo! This must be one of the most renowned expressions in the pop world and is also the one that I used when I heard that Playtech was making an online Flintstones slot machine game.

This particular family has been in our hearts for more than half a century in several places: Comics, Movies, Videogames, two Flintstones based theme parks and TV, being the most successful animated franchise on TV until the arrival of The Simpsons, and it was about time that the developers made an spectacular online casino game with this history.

They don’t need much presentation, you’ll probably remember Fred, the working-class dad with a lot of appetite, his Wife Wilma and their loyal friends and neighbours; Barney and Betty Rubble.This Hanna-Barbera creation is ranked by the TV Guide as the second Greatest TV Cartoon of All Time.

The game hasn’t been out yet, but we are eager to found what Playtech has for this 2016 in terms of quality, entertainment and innovation. The only appetizer we have had is a video in their Youtube channel (a channel that they don’t use as much as they could, nowadays) with several other titles they plan to release later this year.

What We Love

Even though there is nothing official about this title, there are several things to be excited about. First of all, this is not the first flirt the Flintstones have had with the slot industry, they have several throughout Las Vegas with a lot of cool features that Playtech must rescue, or at least some of them.

The game is based in two screens, one where the slot action happens and the other where there is a bonus feature with a lot of interesting and interactive games. You have the Bamm Bamm feature, where you can gain extra wilds or the Yabba Dabba Doo feature where you can gain a series of extra wilds, in this one the size of the slot expands and you will get a lot of cool chances of gaining a pretty decent win until the expansion finish.

My personal favorite feature is the Bedrock Bowling Feature, where you are allowed to choose a bowling bowl (which may have a multiplier hidden in it) and the bowler (Fred and Barney in several costumes) and you may strike -or not, earning a big win with the multiplier attached to it. All of this with a great animation of the ball actually being balled.

All of this features can be reproduced and with the great opportunity of making a cool layout with an outstanding cast and developers. Is almost impossible to do a bad Flintstones product, except their last live-action movie.

What We Don’t Love

There aren’t many things to critic here, mainly because there aren’t many reliable sources out there of how this game is going to turn out. Perhaps the lack of information of Playtech can be used as something bad or wrong, but this will depend heavily on the success of the title.

Worth Playing?

All of us, in some point in our lives, have been directly amused by this hard working family. The Flintstones have been around for so much time, primarily, because their proven and constant quality throughout the years, there is no possible indication that an online slot machine game wouldn’t live up to the expectation.

Regardless of the fact that we don’t have much information about this release, I would highly recommend the wait. This is a title with so much to use, to improve and to entertain that is really difficult to do it wrong, specially in the hands of Playtech. Yabba Dabba Doo!
