Wicked Circus is the third game in Yggdrasil’s gaming Jokerizer series. Like the two games before it, Jokerizer and the Dark Joker Rizes, this title is themed around a circus, and the “star” of the saga, the Jokerizer.
In the first game, Yggdrasil’s jester was a cheerful character, full of joy. On the second offering, the Dark Joker Rizes, he showed a more sinister side of himself. In Wicked Circus, as the name might imply, the darkness of the Jokerizer is on display once more.
The joker has a slightly evil grimace on his face, but this darkness and apparent evil goes no further than that. Reel symbols are mostly fruit and some circus items, like a bell, a knife-throwing bullseye, and a lightbulb-lit 7 sign.
Yggdrasil Gaming is perhaps one of the best casino suppliers in the industry nowadays. They are based in Malta, with a major development office in Krakow, Poland.
Their products are not just video slots, but also a larger array of gambling products, like classic and video scratch games, live studio lotto draws, 3D keno games, and other online casino games.
One of Yggdrasil’s most successful game series to date has been the Jokerizer series. This series of games is remarkable for its Jokerizer mode, which makes winning more likely, and is triggered by winning on any payline.
Wicked Circus is the third game in this series. In the words of Yggdrasil’s own Fredrik Elmqvist, “Yggdrasil’s two previous Jokerizer slots have enjoyed massive success over the past couple of years, so it was a no-brainer to launch a third in the series,”

How to Play It
Wicked Circus has a 5×3 set of reels, and 10 pay lines. Its pay lines are a little interesting, since they are 5 lines from left to right, and 5 from right to left. Essentially, there are only five pay lines, but they can be activated “both ways”. This opens up a large number of opportunities for bigger wins, with a simple change.
Actually playing the game couldn’t be simpler. The bottom of the screen holds a bar with all relevant user interface elements. You can adjust your line bet with a small indicator on the left side of the bar, and on the center you have three buttons, Max Bet, Spin, and Auto Spin. Hit spin to play regularly, and Auto Spin to make the game spin again automatically.
You can set auto spin rounds to go from as little as 10 spins up to infinite spins (“infinite” means “until your wallets drops dead”, of course).
The most exciting part of this game is without a doubt its special features, which set this game apart from the rest. The most remarkable one is, definitely, the Jokerizer mode.
This is triggered by landing a winning combination on any pay line. Yes, you only have to win once during regular play to trigger this feature. Your wins will be then passed on to the Jokerizer balance, displayed on the center of the UI bar.
Spins in Jokerizer mode cost 20 coins, higher than normal, but winning is easier. You can continue in Jokerizer mode until you land a mystery win of or above 600, or when you decide to hit collect and end the mode. This requires plenty of tactical thought on your behalf to get ahead properly.
Mystery wins are very simple; land three or more Joker symbols anywhere on the reels, and receive a payout. The more symbols, the higher. During Jokerizer mode, mystery wins require only two jokers, and you can choose to hold your jokers until the next spin, to get even higher payouts.
Five Joker symbols can award you with a mystery win between 4000 and 6000 coins. RTP value is 96.3%.
The Jokerizer games offer a very unique twist to regular slot gameplay, adding an extra layer of complexity. Wicked Circus goes above and beyond that with its hold function during Jokerizer mode. Add its fantastic graphics to the mix, and you have a winning game, hands down.
