Sterling Silver 3D
The Sterling Silver 3D slot is graphically, one of Microgaming’s finest titles. The theme of this slot is pretty easy to decipher, because of course, it is all about Sterling silver.
Silver bars, and silver playing card icons adorn the reels of this very shiny online video slot. It isn’t the most remarkable theme ever developed, but on the bright side, at least it doesn’t concern gold, because now that would be a cliché!
How to play Sterling Silver 3D slots online
Sterling Silver 3D is set up pretty much like any other online video slot in structure. There are 5 main reels, upon which sit a total of 25 paylines. Players therefore shouldn’t be too confused about the setup of this title. Coin values vary from £0.01 up to £0.25.
You can wager anything from 1 to 10 coins per payline. So, we’ve established that the minimum wager is £0.01 per line, per spin; but what about the maximum wager. You needn’t worry too much. The maximum stake on Sterling Silver 3D never exceeds £62.50 per spin.
Sterling Silver 3D actually utilises some classic slot icons in its arsenal. You have the usual 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace icons, which are all worth fairly low pay-outs. But you also have single and treble silver bars, which are worth considerably more in value. The most valuable icon actually, is the treble silver bars. These can reward a player with 1,000 coins if they land 5 on any active payline.

Sterling Silver 3D’s scatter
A collection of 5 Sterling silver bars (also known as the coin symbol) makes up the scatter icon in this online video slot. If a player lands three of these icons on the second, third or fourth reels, they will trigger a free spins bonus round.
Players will also pick up 10x their total bet as a scattered pay-out. The free spins round will see players land 15 free spins in total. Wild icons have a critically important value in the free spins bonus round, as they offer multipliers (2x-10x) when used to create winning paylines.
The wild symbol
Sterling Silver 3D has chosen to use the game’s title logo as its wild icon. As a standard wild, it can substitute itself for any other icon in the game, with the exception of the scatter icon. The wild symbol appears as a stacked wild on the central reel (reel 3).
This slot also contains a gamble feature. Players can click on the gamble button to double or quadruple their win. They are invited to choose a colour or suit.
If they predict correctly, the player will win double for a correct colour, or quadruple their win for a correct suit. If they predict incorrectly, they lose their winnings. This feature is best avoided.
The Sterling Silver 3D jackpot
Players can win a total of 100,000 coins in this video slot. That is quite a sizeable sum, given the total maximum stake is so low. In order to win that jackpot, players will need to line up as many of the treble silver bar icons across the reels as possible, with wilds if necessary.
Other notes on Sterling Silver 3D
It is a very nice, though I can’t really see Sterling Silver 3D catching on. The theme is just too plain, and the special features are too generic for it to offer anything that other slots don’t.
For theme neutral players though, there is probably enough here for them to find it entertaining.
