Shark Bite is another very elementary and basic video slot, designed by Cryptologic. Yes, there is a bit of mild animation present in the title, but it’s hardly enough to scream and shout about.

Shark Bite is the tale of a school of fish, and one very hungry Great White. The designers have tried to make the characters in this slot very human-like, with big faces; unfortunately though, the graphics just don’t do it justice.

How to play Shark Bite online

Shark Bite offers players 25 payline, which sit on 5 reels, of gameplay. This is pretty much standard stuff for a video slot. Players are at liberty to adjust their coin values to anything from £0.01 up to £10, but they can only stake one coin per payline. With their bet placed, it will fall somewhere between the minimum floor bet of £0.01 per line, per spin; and the maximum ceiling bet of a pricy £250 per spin!

The high playing cards are uniquely disguised as other things in this slot. Snails, eels and seahorses all make up the high playing card icons. Other sea creatures are also present in the reels, giving the theme some visual support.

Rays, fish and of course, the monstrous Great White shark are also present. Keep an eye out for the Great White though, as it is drawn so badly (they obviously tried to make it look as friendly as possible), that is scarcely looks like a shark at all!

The scatter icon

The scatter icon in this slot is the free games logo. This appears as a sunken treasure chest, with the word “free games” written across it.

The player will land free games when the icon appears on the second, third and fourth reel, simultaneously. Free spins cannot be retriggered during the round. During the free spins rounds, the free spin scatters are replaced with bonus round icons.

The bonus icon

The wild icon is the shark. The shark wild is an expanding wild. Unlike other expanding wilds though, this one expands horizontally across the reels, rather than vertically to dominate an entire reel.

This is a nice new feature, and not one many gamers are familiar with. Wilds can replace all icons, with the exception of the bonus and free games icon. Wild icons only appear on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels.

The Shark Bite jackpot

Shark Bite contains a non-progressive jackpot. This jackpot is fixed at 1,000 coins. The second highest pay-out in this video slot machine game is 750 coins, so it is still a sizeable pay-out if won by the player.
