IGT showcases the life and exploits of Zheng He
Are you familiar with the life and exploits of the famous Chinese navigator, explorer, sailor and (potentially), the eunuch, Zheng He? Probably not.
This giant of Chinese history sailed the Southern, Western, and Eastern Asia seas in the early fifteenth century (hence the slot’s title), and established a reputation as quite the guy. IGT have aimed to bring his tales to life in their latest Chinese themed video slot.
1421: Voyages of Zheng He certainly has the ability to stand out, as one of the more culturally important Chinese themed slots on the net.
It is also fairly nifty when it comes to dishing out more than agreeable special features. Players who like fresh new features in their slots are going to be more than happy with the 88 paylines dished out in this game.
This slot isn’t actually that new. IGT unveiled it a month or so ago, but it is only now just coming to the forefront, with a considerable number of players giving it a go. You should be able to find it at all good casinos offering IGT software.
What we love
Normally, IGT is pretty square about what you can expect to be able to adjust in the wagering department. There’s none of that going on here, though, with players easily able to wager anything from $0.08 per spin, up to $2,640 per spin. You can play with 8 lines, or you can play all 88 in this slot. The choice is yours.
Another pretty handy feature is the Player Decision Bonus. In it, players can choose whether they wish to play a simple instant win game for a simplistic cash prize, or whether they wish to try their hand at one of three free spin features.
Each spin bonus is different from the others, with players able to bag larger multipliers with fewer available spins, or smaller multipliers with a larger number of spins.
What we do not like
There aren’t too many reasons to not like this game. If you really wanted to nitpick, you could say that some of the graphics are a bit on the cheap side.
They could easily belong in any IGT slot from half a decade ago or more. However, we’re not always about the graphics, so we can easily overlook that. Once you have overlooked the fact that the graphics are a bit on the cheap side, there’s nothing else to gripe at.
1421: Voyages of Zheng He did make us eager to learn more about this mystery man and what he has accomplished, so we take our hat off to IGT for that.
They have also managed to create a Chinese culture themed slot, and one which offers up a decent array of features, and flexible wagers; another first for IGT with this slot theme. All things considered then, we would urge you to give the 1421: Voyages of Zheng He slot a go.
