Cherry Trio Slot Review
Cherry Trio is a very simple, but retro looking video slot from iSoftBet. Ever since Net Entertainment unveiled their Starburst video slot, there have been several developers which have attempted to nab its gaming structure, if not its theme as well.
iSoftBet has chosen to “borrow” a few ideas from that slot. The gaming structure of Cherry Trio is very much like Starburst, whilst at the same time acting as an original title. Cherry Trio contains classic slot imagery on its reels, and these include bars, sevens, diamonds, and plenty of magical cherries.
iSoftBet has been developing a rather creative range of slots of late, so it is strange to see them go so basic with this release. There isn’t too much reason to complain, though. The slot has a nice design, and an authentic look and feel to it.
Players will instant recognise a bit of the glory days of one-armed bandits when they start spinning the reels of this slot. Cherry Trio is a bit of a step away from what we are used to seeing from iSoftBet, in that this could easily be misconstrued as a classic slot. With that in mind, make sure you don’t expect too much from it.

How to play
Cherry Trio contains 3 reels and 5 paylines, just like a legendary fruit machine. Although the menu bars are not thematic, they don’t look out of place at all.
The simplistic wagering menus allow you to choose coin denominations which stem from $0.01 up to $50, and that will alter your bet from $0.05 per spin, up to $250 per spin, since you cannot alter or adjust any of this slot’s 5 paylines.
This wagering range is more flexible than most other classic slots we’ve seen, making it ideal for all players irrespective of the budget they are playing with.
Wild symbols: Wild symbols constitute the only special symbols in this slot machine game. When they appear on the reels, they can substitute for all other symbols in the slot without exception.
It is worth noting that wild symbols take on the shape of cherries as we’ve said before. These electric looking symbols also serve another purpose.
Cherry Re-spins: Wild symbols can appear stacked on the reels of the Cherry Trio slot. This is where the slot gets its name from. On any normal spin in the slot, if one reel sees a stacked column of cherry wilds appear, it will remain sticky whilst triggering a re-spin.
Should you land another stacked wild cherry reel during that re-spin, both reels will remain wild for the next re-spin. Players can have a maximum of 3 cherry wild reels with this feature. This is where the Cherry Trio slot is most like NetEnt’s Starburst video slot.
It is hypothetically possible to land cherry wilds across the entire screen as we’ve said. When this happens, players will find that they will win the non-progressive jackpot in this slot. That non-progressive jackpot is fixed at 1,000 coins in total.
Once the prize has been paid out, no further re-spins are afforded to players. Failing that top prize, the next best paying combination is a set of three wilds on a payline, which can see you win 100 coins in total.
Diamonds, red 7s, golden 7s, purple 7s, triple bars, double bars, and single bars can pay out 70, 50, 30, 20, 10, 5, and 3 coins at most.
Cherry Trio is basically Starburst in disguise. Don’t let that sound like a bad thing, though. This slot is just as enjoyable as the popular NetEnt game, and we’d even argue that with its superior jackpots, larger wagering range, and better imagery, it could be a superior slot.
True, NetEnt’s Starburst does have 10 lines instead of this slot’s 5 paylines, but it also has 5 reels as opposed to this slot’s 3 reels, so that is easily forgivable.
