Autumn Queen Slot Review
Autumn Queen is Novomatic’s latest video slot. This particular game features a gorgeous woman, who really is the queen of autumn.
This flame-haired beauty is the only thing that is pretty, or spectacular in the slot, though. Novomatic has chosen to be incredibly beige and boring with the features and graphical design of the game.
What you end up with is another run-of-the-mill, high playing card laden slot machine game. Autumn Queen doesn’t just look a bit naff, it also plays that way, too.
Personally, we don’t think too many players are going to be hot for the Autumn Queen slot, especially since Novomatic took so long to release the game that winter is on our doorstep.
You never know what you are going to get with Novomatic. On occasion, they can really surprise you, with some of the best graphics and features of any slot. Their Book of Ra slot (for instance) was an absolutely riot and has become one of the most popular slots on the net.
However, there is precious little to excite players in the Autumn Queen slot. This is a game that showcases Novomatic at their worst. Pretty much everything from the theme to wagers, features to wins are below par.

How to play
Located at the bottom of the reels is a dull and dreary wagering menu bar. From there, players will be able to see their bet and their last win.
That’s all, though. If you wish to change your bet, you need to click on the invasive menu button to the right of the reels. This can see you alter your bet to anything from 1 coin per line per spin, up to 8,000 coins per spin.
All 40 lines can be adjusted, too. If you’re wondering what a coin is worth in this game, the slot’s minimum and maximum wagers are fixed at $0.01 per line per spin, and $60.00 per spin, respectively.
Wild symbol: Players will notice that the Autumn Queen logo is the wild symbol in this slot machine game. As a wild, she can substitute for all other symbols in the slot barring the crystal ball. Wild symbols cannot offer up cash prizes on their own and are pretty mundane and generic symbols in this slot.
Scatter symbol: Autumn Queen’s scatter symbol (crystal ball) can appear on all five reels of the slot, and you will need it to if you are going to trigger the game’s bonus round. Players can only trigger the feature with 5 such symbols, and that is pretty shady stuff. You won’t be able to pull this off very often.
Autumn Queen Bonus: Players can actually trigger up to 80 free games in this bonus round. Players will be greeted by piles of leaves on the reels of this feature.
Those leaf piles hide stacked symbols, which can then be clicked on to trigger them. They can boost your chances of landing wins in the feature. Every extra crystal ball scatter you locate in the bonus round will see you land another 5 free spins. As we’ve said, you can win up to 80 of them in total.
Players can win as much as 500 coins in total, that is to say, 500x your total bet. In order to pocket that cash prize, you will need to land at least 5 of the Autumn Queen character symbols. It is quite some drop to the next highest paying symbol in the game, which is the bear.
Five of those would only see you win just over half of the top, non-progressive prize. As far as prizes go, that is about standard for any Novomatic developed slot. Why aren’t we surprised by that in the slightest…
Autumn Queen isn’t a very good slot. You can doll up the main character all you want, but it won’t make a jot of difference. The slot offers the same set of wilds, scatters and – by and large – features that we’ve seen time and time again in Novomatic slots.
Throw in the fact that the imagery is pretty poor, too, and there aren’t even a handful of reasons we’d advocate playing this slot. Everything is just too basic, too simple, too dated. It isn’t our cup of tea, but perhaps you’ll feel differently.
